Scholarship details
The Public Service Department Malaysia (JPA) welcomes officials of the Management and Professional Group (R & D) of the Ministry / Department / Agency to apply for the United Kingdom Commonwealth Scholarship Program in 2019 for full-time Master’s and PhD studies.
Applicant must meet all the below requirements
Applicant candidates must meet the conditions and criteria set by the organiser as follows:
- Must be a Government Management and/or Professional Group Officer who is currently in service;
- Have been confirmed in the current service scheme by the closing date of the application;
- Age must not exceed 50 years for Master's degree and must not exceed 45 years for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) level on 1 January 2019;
- Achieve the Annual Performance Evaluation Rate (LNPT) 85% minimum for the up-to-date period of the current 3 calendar year (2015, 2016 & 2017);
- Have good English proficiency;
- Have declared property;
- Clear of any charges or disciplinary actions and free from the Court's allegations;
- Not blacklisted in the list of JPA education loan scheme borrowers
- Not currently taking short courses abroad within the past year or long courses within the past two years (measured from October 26, 2018)
- Courses taken are related to areas that are relevant to the field of work;
- Not obtaining sponsorship (loan or scholarship) from other sponsoring agencies for the course taken; and
- Obtained higher levels of academic qualifications owned by employees

Preferred Discipline
The course chosen must be related to the area that corresponds to the job field.

The Head of Department or Head of Services is advised to make sure that the applicant can be released for follow-up if their scholarship application is successful.
