Applications for the 2014 Elena Cooke
Education Fund are now open to Malaysians below 23 years old who have
obtained at least 3As in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and who meet
other requirements as listed in the application form and the
educational institution’s course entry requirements.
The Fund, set up in honour of the late Miss Elena Cooke, the longest serving headmistress of the Bukit Bintang Girls’ School (BBGS), aims to help underprivileged young people, whether they live with their families or were raised in children’s homes and orphanages, to pursue quality education after SPM in local colleges or universities.
The Elena Cooke Education Fund typically works closely with local higher educational institutions like the Sunway Education Group (Sunway University and Sunway College) and KBU International College so that successful candidates are financially covered throughout their diploma/degree course.

Criteria
Applicants must have at least 3As and
must meet other requirements as stated in the application form and the
educational institution’s course entry requirements. Household income
must be below RM50,000 per annum.

Applicants who satisfy the above minimum criteria are invited to apply for entry into any of the following courses available at Sunway College/Sunway University. Tuition fees, general fees (namely, fees other than tuition fees) and hostel fees will be fully covered whilst allowances for books and living expenses will be given for the entire course.
* Credits in SPM English and Math are required.
**A pass in SPM English is required.

General fees and hostel fees will be fully covered whilst allowances for books and living expenses will be given for the entire course. Please note that tuition fees are NOT covered by the Fund in this case. Applicants may however apply to KBU International College for assistance under any of their various scholarship schemes.
