The Bank Negara Malaysia Scholarship Award 2016 provides
opportunities for students on several levels of higher education. BNM
acknowledges the importance of empowering the future generation with
knowledge and skillset, the scholarship aims to financially assist
students who're excelling academically.
Pre-University:
Cambridge A-Level, American Degree Foundation Program and South Australian Matriculation. For the Pre-University level, there are two (2) types of scholarship available for eligible candidates:
Undergraduate:
The Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded to eligible individuals who have received offers to pursue or are currently pursuing Undergraduate studies at selected leading universities locally and overseas.
Pre-University:

Postgraduates:
The Postgraduate Scholarships are
awarded to eligible individuals who have received offers to pursue or
are currently pursuing Postgraduate studies at selected leading
universities locally and overseas.

Criteria
Pre-University:
Kijang Emas Scholarships
Kijang Emas scholarship are awarded to the top SPM 2015 students.The Kijang Emas recipients are given the freedom to pursue their own field of study in top universities in any country of their choice. Requirements for Kijang Emas Scholarships include:
Kijang scholarships are awarded to eligible individuals to pursue pre-university and subsequently undergraduate studies in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Law and Computer Science at selected leading universities locally and overseas.
Requirements for Kijang Scholarships include:
Undergraduate:
Postgraduates:
Kijang Emas Scholarships
Kijang Emas scholarship are awarded to the top SPM 2015 students.The Kijang Emas recipients are given the freedom to pursue their own field of study in top universities in any country of their choice. Requirements for Kijang Emas Scholarships include:
- Straight A+ in SPM 2015 examination
- Not exceeding 19 years of age on 1 July 2016
- Strong leadership qualities, high teamwork capabilities, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Kijang scholarships are awarded to eligible individuals to pursue pre-university and subsequently undergraduate studies in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Law and Computer Science at selected leading universities locally and overseas.
Requirements for Kijang Scholarships include:
- Minimum 8As (A and A+ only) in SPM 2015 examination
- Not exceeding 19 years of age on 1 July 2016
- Strong leadership qualities, high teamwork capabilities, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Undergraduate:
- STPM / A-Level - at least 2 A and 1 B; or
- Diploma / Matriculation - Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.50; or
- South Australian Matriculation - ATAR of at least 85%; or
- American Foundation Program - SAT1 score of at least 1200; or
- For candidates currently pursuing Undergraduate - Current CGPA of at least 3.50
- Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
- Not exceeding 25 years of age on 1 July 2016
- Obtained an offer to pursue or is currently pursuing Undergraduate studies in 2016 from the Bank's list of approved universities
- Strong leadership qualities, high teamwork capabilities, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Postgraduates:
- Obtained a First Class (Honours) Bachelor / Master's Degree from recognised local and overseas universities
- Not exceeding 30 years of age on 1 July 2016
- Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
- Obtained an offer to pursue or is currently pursuing Postgraduate studies in 2016 from the Bank's list of approved universities
- Strong leadership qualities, high teamwork capabilities, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
