Scholarship details

The scholarship is open to students who have gained admission or are eligible for admission into first year full-time undergraduate studies at selected Malaysian universities. We also welcome first year students of these universities to apply.

Criteria

Applicant must meet all the below requirements

• Malaysian citizen
• Minimum 7As in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM); or 5As in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
• Minimum 2As in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM); or 2As in GCE A-Level
• Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 in Matriculation/Foundation Studies
• Minimum CGPA of 3.50 for existing first year undergraduates
• Holds  leadership positions in extra-curricular activities, societies and clubs in school/university
• Possesses a dynamic personality with excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship or award from any other organisations and/or institutions
• Family household income of below RM 5,000 monthly

How to apply for OCBC Scholarship 2018

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Complete the application form that can be downloaded HERE
• Prepare an essay of 800 words on the topic below:

"Have you been in leadership positions in school/university? If yes, what are the biggest challenges you have faced and what have you learned from it?"

The Star Education Fund scholarship is offered under the collaboration between Star Media Group with some of the best educational institutions in Malaysia to provide higher education opportunities to deserving young Malaysians.

+Criteria

Applicant must meet all the below requirements

• Malaysian citizens not more than 25 years of age (except for postgraduate courses).
• Excel in extra-curricular activities or active in sports.
• Not bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or awards from other educational institutions or organisations.
• Possess reasonably good result in SPM / UEC or equivalent (for Foundation / Diploma courses).
• Possess reasonably good results in STPM / UEC or equivalent (for Degree courses).

Elena Cooke Education Fund 2018

Scholarship details

SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia), STPM (Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia) and UEC (Unified Examination Certificate) students who have received their examination results are invited to apply to the Elena Cooke Education Fund for financial assistance. The Fund, set up in honour of the late Miss Elena Cooke, the longest serving headmistress of the Bukit Bintang Girls’ School (BBGS), aims to help underprivileged young people, whether they live with their families or were raised in children’s homes and orphanages, to pursue quality education after SPM in local colleges or universities.
Applications for the 2018 Elena Cooke Education Fund scholarships will open, as from March 16, 2018, to Malaysians below 23 years old as at December 31, 2017 who have obtained at least 3As in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and/or who meet other criteria as stated in the application form and the relevant educational institution’s course entry requirements.

• Obtained at least 3As in the SPM and/or who meet other criteria as stated in the application form and the relevant educational institution’s course entry requirements.  
• Household income must not be more than RM42,000.00 per annum.  
• Applicants who have already commenced their courses will NOT be eligible.

Applicants may apply for a scholarship to finance their study at any one of the following institutions, but only in respect of any of the selected courses indicated below and on the terms set out below:

Tuition fees and general fees (namely, fees other than tuition fees) will be fully covered whilst allowances for accommodation, books and living expenses will be given for the entire course.

Applicants must apply separately on their own for courses at other local colleges and universities.  However, ECEF scholarships are NOT open for A-levels or Foundation level courses.  It is likely that IF any scholarship is granted by the Elena Cooke Education Fund, it will only be a partial scholarship.  The Elena Cooke Education Fund reserves the sole and absolute discretion as to the amount of the scholarship.

Overview

Musashino University in Tokyo, Japan is offering scholarship for Malaysians to pursue a 4 year undergraduate programme. The university is offering scholarship as they would like to entice the enrollment of foreign students into their Global Studies faculty. Overview

This scholarship is open to all Malaysian citizens. Candidates need to meet the terms set by the organising committee of the UK Commonwealth Scholarship, as stated below:

Criteria

Applicant must meet all the below requirements

Candidates must be

• A Kerajaan Kumpulan Pengurusan & Profesional officer who is currently serving on a full-time basis. 
• Has been verified to be part of the service scheme as of the closing date (February 22, 2018).
• Not older than 50 years of age for those pursing a PhD, and 45 years of age for those pursuing a Master's (as of January 1, 2018). 
• Achieved a minimum Laporan Nilaian Prestasi Tahunan (LNPT) average of 85% for 3 consecutive years (2014, 2015, 2016) 
• Free of any accusations/punishments due to disciplinary issues and have not been convicted/accused in court 
• Not listed on the JPA blacklist 
• Not following a short course overseas for the next ONE year OR a long course for the next TWO years (effective from December 1, 2017).
